Love's Labour's Lost

Love's Labour's Lost is one of Shakespeare’s early comedies. The comedy is about three men who swear to not fall in love for three years and dismally failed to do so. Love’s Labour’s Lost offers a double bed and doesn’t include three years of studying and fasting (like the play suggests). This quote is for all those who have to endure dad jokes, especially while walking on one of New Zealand’s great walks. Shakespeare can relate.

‘A jest's prosperity lies in the ear
Of him that hears it, never in the tongue
Of him that makes it.' ― William Shakespeare.
