Milford Sound Road reopening
Great news for Milford road reopening see the attached article. Huge thanks to all the people and businesses working so hard to get this amazing road back open.
Weather Event in Fiordland
In the past few days there has been a weather event which saw large amounts of rain fall quickly in the headwaters of Fiordland and Northern / Eastern parts of Southland.
Te Anau township was unaffected and still had access in and out to the South West of Te Anau.
Milford Sound has been affected with flooding but they have there own roading crew that already have parts of the road open and busy working daylight to dusk on getting the rest of the road open as soon as possible.
Doubtful sound (in my opinion the best sound to visit in Fiordland ) remained open thoughout the whole weather event with some stunning views of waterfalls , rainbows and amazing sunshine.
Roads are currently opening up to the north as we speak ( they have already had part openings) and the roads to the east are slowly opening up again today and we now have access to Dunedin again.
We are all systems go here and have amazing weather in the forecast for next week.
Sunshine Coast sing along
